What cut content are players missing from BG3?
Baldur's Gate 3 is a massive game with hundreds of hours of content for people to enjoy, but it should come as no surprise to anyone that there is also a ton of cut content. Cut content in games can take many forms, from mechanics that weren't fully implemented to entire questlines. It's not unusual for game developers to release games with cut content, but the missing content from Baldur's Gate 3 is stirring up some extra controversy.
Many have noted the stark difference between the first and final acts of Baldur's Gate 3. With the majority of Act One being available in early access for almost three years, those playing the final version expected the rest of the game to have the same standard. Yet, while the game starts out strongly, there is a noticeable drop in complexity and quality later into the game, and now thanks to dedicated fans, there seems to be an answer for that.
8 Crafting Gear & Weapons Crafting was meant to be a larger part of Baldur's Gate 3 than just the alchemy seen in the final version. Early access builds did include a crafting bench, and it seems that crafting and enchanting items and gear would have been available. It would have been tons of fun to see what enchantments were possible, and it does go some way to explain why ingots, gems and other materials still appear in the game.
5 Karlach's Happy Quest Ending One such questline that has suffered because of cut content and the absence of the Upper City is the happy ending to Karlach’s personal story. Data has revealed that there is a full ending where it is possible to save Karlach and fix her infernal engine.
