A Secret Invasion reveal sets up MCU challenges.
Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Secret Invasion’s huge Avengers plot twist will have huge ramifications in the Marvel Cinematic Universe during Phase 6. In the Nick Fury solo series, Fury and his allies worked to stop the Skrull threat Gravik, who would later become one of the two canonical MCU Super-Skrulls. Able to use abilities from other MCU heroes and villains, Gravik was able to get his hands on this power all because of Fury.
2 The Avengers Will Lose Trust In Fury Considering how Fury sent in undercover Skrulls to collect the DNA from the Battle of Earth, it’s safe to assume that the Avengers have no clue about his plan. As public hero figures, the Avengers are probably used to people prying into their personal business. However, stealing DNA takes the concept to a whole other level. Not only did the Avengers have their DNA collected in secret, but it was orchestrated by someone they were supposed to trust.
4 The Avengers Plot Twist Could Cause Internal Conflict The Harvest is such an ethically divisive issue that there are bound to be members of the Avengers who see things differently than others. While betrayal will be the huge emotion everyone feels, some may choose to still stand by Fury. Perhaps some members will see why he chose to collect their DNA, and how the plan could’ve been a success if other events had taken place in the MCU timeline.
6 Other Villains Will Want The Avengers' DNA The MCU has no shortage of villains, and Marvel Comics sets up the franchise to introduce even more in the future. From more local threats to universal ones, villains of any caliber need a reason to fight the Avengers. The Harvest vial is definitely something that someone on Earth could want to get their hands on, or even attract the attention of other beings in the galaxy.
