Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT While many fan-favorite shows have gotten satisfying conclusions to their stories, there are a variety of anime that absolutely need another season to properly adapt their source material. Some series such as Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and Parasyte were able to see their full stories brought to the small screen. However, other shows sadly ended before they had a chance to get to the best parts.
While A Sign of Affection is a fairly new series, it's still relatively unclear if it will get a second season. The final episode of the first season is fairly conclusive with Yuki and Itsuomi preparing to travel the world together as they make their relationship official following a successful first date. The way things end feels like there's not much story left to tell.

If Tokyo Ghoul were to get another shot, it would likely either need to be a remake or a second attempt at a new season that ignores season two and picks up with the first left off. This would give the series a chance to properly adapt its source material while continuing the anime where fans of the manga wanted the series to go.
What's upsetting about Komi Can't Communicate not receiving a greenlight yet is that the manga has so much in store for the series' protagonist. The biggest character from the manga, Manbagi Rumiko, has yet to be introduced, and she's arguably the most important friend Komi would ever make. The two relate to each other on a personal level as they bond over their shared difficulty of making friends.
Soul Eater 3 Kakegurui Ended in the Middle of an Arc Original Airing: 2017-2019 Close Kakegurui is an example of a series that needed to plan to have some closure before mapping out its season. This show had a unique premise which explored a school whose entire hierarchy is based off gambling. However, when the school presidency becomes open in the second season, Kakegurui XX, an election is held where the person who earns the most "votes" through gambling competitions wins.
