Hulkling may be an emperor and a former member of the Young Avengers, but he may end up starting a massive cosmic war across the Marvel Universe.
Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Warning: Spoilers for Guardians of the Galaxy #7!A prominent former member of the Young Avengers may be on the verge of plunging the Marvel Universe into its next cosmic war. Since growing up and progressing past his humble beginnings as a Young Avenger, Hulkling has embraced his halfling heritage to become the Emperor of the Kree/Skrull Empire.
It dates back to Guardians of the Galaxy #7 by Collin Kelly, Jackson Lanzing, Kev Walker, Matt Hollingsworth, and VC's Cory Petit, where Hulkling and his husband take a deeper dive into Grootspace, formerly the Manifold Territories. They learn that Groot isn't as evil as originally speculated, and Hulkling is tasked to use his political power to ward off interfering political powers. This proves easier said than done and the Emperor may make things worse before they get better.Emperor Hulkling Can't Convince Others To Stay Away During his Grootfall phase, Groot was thought to have killed millions and devoured planets.
This wouldn't even be the first time he's on the brink of starting a war in this issue, as Wiccan mentions in passing that Hulking left his post without leaving a note. While it's most likely a joke, the emperor of a major intergalactic empire disappearing without telling anyone is pretty serious, especially given how tenuous the Kree/Skrull Alliance is. A missing emperor is the kind of thing that will start a war if they're not careful.
If Emperor Hulkling isn't careful, the former Young Avenger could end up starting multiple intergalactic wars at once just by assisting the Guardians of the Galaxy.
