Crews from multiple agencies and organizations are searching for Palmer 21-year-old Frank Villavosos, troopers said.
Published: 1 day ago One person was rescued and another remains missing after a boat capsized on the Little Willow Creek north of Willow early Saturday, Alaska State Troopers said.that they received a report of the capsizing around 1 a.m. Saturday.
The boat had reportedly capsized after striking a rock or log “about 3 miles above the Parks Highway Bridge,” troopers said. Passersby were able to rescue a female passenger, who said Palmer 21-year-old Frank Villalovos wasn’t accounted for, troopers said. Troopers started to organize a search that involved response from the Willow/Caswell Fire Department, Talkeetna Fire Department, MATSAR Search and Rescue and the Alaska Dive Search Rescue and Recovery Team, according to troopers.
The search has involved Alaska Wildlife Troopers conducting search operations from the air and on the water; MATSAR dog teams searching the shoreline and water; and the dive team using their boat, underwater cameras and a K-9 to search the water.
