One worker was injured when an explosion took place early this morning at the Sherwin-Williams paint plant in Garland, Texas. That worker has since been released from a hospital.
GARLAND, Texas — An explosion and resultant fire rocked the Sherwin-Williams paint plant in Garland, Texas, early Monday morning.The fire was put out after a few hours. It’s not yet known what caused the explosion. However, Sherwin-Williams primarily produces paints, coatings and floor coverings for industrial and residential customers., at least one factory worker was injured. That worker was taken to a hospital but has since been released.
“We went outside, we walked around the building, thinking something might have hit the building,” Casper continued. “We went behind the building, saw this big explosion happening at the Sherwin-Williams plant.”The Garland Fire Department is currently working a structure fire in the area of 701 South Shiloh Road. As a result multiple roadways in and around the location are CLOSED. Please find alternate routes and expect heavy delays.
