The shooting happened at the 1800 block of Lakeway Drive Thursday
Police were called to the 1800 block of Lakeway Drive in Lewisville around 11:30 a.m. after they received multiple calls of shots fired at a business park near a police station.Lewisville police said officers were able to quickly respond on foot and take a suspect into custody and provide first aid to a victim. Police said they interviewed about 20 witnesses who were inside the office, building, or nearby when shots rang out. They are trying to figure out the nature and extent of the relationship between the suspect and victim, as well as motive. Because the location of the shooting was near the police station, Lewisville police said the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives was called to assist in searching a building and parked cars. “We brought the ATF just as a precaution due to the proximity to the police department and the unknowns in this investigation with their being multiple vehicles involved, we wanted to ensure that there are no bombs or additional weapons or anything of that sort," said Officer Rachel Roberts, spokesperson for Lewisville Police.Cuba
