The actions of those depicted in this video, who identify themselves as federal agents, do not reflect the values or high standards of DEA. This situation, which involved a local Task Force Officer, remains under investigation. The individual involved in this matter has been returned to his local police department and is no longer a Task Force Officer with DEA.
When Hinckley police arrived to the bar they found the two off-duty officers pinning down the 38-year-old Texas man, accusing him of being “illegal.” Kopchak is no longer on the ATF but he is still working for Cleveland police while the department investigates. 19 Investigates discovered he is currently on restricted duty, but has no contact with the public.
19 Investigates got Kopchak’s personnel file and it shows the Cleveland police officer was suspended for one day in 2020 after he rubbed arrest warrant papers in a man’s face.
