A shelter is now open for evacuees fleeing a 219-acre wildfire burning in the Butler Creek area of Missoula County, Montana.
Thirty engines are currently working on the fire that started on private land and originated under the DNRC.The main concerns at this time are powerlines and Highway 93, along with structures and the railroad.
The Missoula County Sheriff's Office has issued the following evacuation order due to a wildfire emerging in Butler Creek: For those returning to their homes, please do so safely and be watchful of emergency responders in the area. Do not stop along the roadway and keep traffic to a minimum.Your safety is most important – grab your loved ones and get out of harm’s way. However, if you do have time to pack, please consider bringing these items:Red Cross urges everyone to be prepared should a wildfire occur in your area.
