Dune: Part Two may have to cut an important scene which is a major problem if it wants to continue to be a faithful adaptation like Dune: Part One.
Dune: Part Two has a major problem with one scene if it wants to remain a faithful adaptation while maximizing its success. Dennis Villeneuve split Dune into two parts in an effort to keep as much of the content of Frank Herbert’s original novel as possible, and even splitting the novel into two movies was not enough as Dune: Part One had an extended runtime.
Dune Part 2's Spice Orgy Is A Problem Dune: Part Two will hope to continue being a faithful adaptation of Herbert’s novel, with plenty of weird Dune book moments, but the spice orgy scene is a particular problem for Villeneuve’s second installment. The spice orgy represents the culmination of the Fremen’s Water of Life ritual and is an important part of Fremen culture, and Dune’s story.
