The incident happened just before 3 a.m. May 27 on Tech Ridge Boulevard, according to the Austin Police Department. An officer was reportedly involved.
AUSTIN, Texas — One person is dead and another is in critical condition after a shooting involving law enforcement early Monday morning in North Austin.from the Austin Police Department , officers responded to a call about a disturbance at approximately 1:30 a.m. at the San Paloma apartments on Tech Ridge Blvd. Monday morning, APD stated that officers forced entry into a room in the apartment complex, where they found a man repeatedly stabbing a woman.
"Upon entry, they observed a male on top of a female actively stabbing her with a knife," APD Interim Chief Robin Henderson said."To protect the life of the victim, the officer discharged his department-approved firearm.": Officer involved shooting in north Austin. Police got a call about a disturbance. When they got there they found a man stabbing a woman. Officers shot the man and took the woman to the hospital. He was pronounced dead, she is in critical condition.
