ANCHORAGE, Alaska - A group of people were riding snowmachines along the Denali Highway when two snowmachines collided, killing a Bend, Oregon man, Alaska State Troopers wrote in their daily dispatch.
AST got an SOS alert from a satellite communications device at 4:03 p.m. and responded to the scene. A man riding a snowmachine collided into the back of a snowmachine operated by Glenn Cantor, 70. Both snowmachines left the trail and Cantor’s snowmachine landed on top of him. Members of the snowmachine group preformed lifesaving measures on Cantor at the scene where he was later declared dead. No other injuries were reported.
