One person is dead and four others were hurt in a serious crash involving a light rail trail on Dec. 30 at the intersection of Indian School Road and Central Avenue.
A crash between a pickup truck and a light rail train early Tuesday morning left one person dead and several others hurt.The crash happened at around 5 a.m. on Dec. 30 at Indian School Road and Central Avenue.
The Phoenix Fire Department says when crews got to the scene, they found a crash between a pickup truck and the light rail.One person was pronounced dead at the scene. Four other people were taken to a hospital where two of them are in critical condition. The other two people suffered minor injuries.Firefighters say two other people involved in the crash were evaluated at the scene and refused hospital transport.According to Valley Metro, B line trains are unable to travel between the Central Avenue/Camelback Road and Thomas Road/Central Avenue stations due to the crash."At this time we recommend riders use bus route 0 to travel between these stations," Valley Metro said.The person who died wasn't identified.Phoenix Police will investigate the cause of the crash.Map of where the crash happened
