One person was killed and two others were hospitalized following a three-car collision that blocked the exit to State Route 302 from westbound State Route 16, Washington State Patrol confirmed.An estimated time for reopening was not immediately available as investigators responded to the scene.
Westbound SR-16 drivers were advised to turn around at the Burley-Olalla interchange to access SR-302 from eastbound SR-16, according to WSP. Troopers confirmed one person died as a result of the crash. Two other people involved were transported to a hospital with injuries. Their conditions were not immediately available.Investigators said the suspected cause of the crash was failure to yield to oncoming traffic.
