Kota Kinabalu: Nearly 1,400 delegates from across Malaysia and Brunei attended the 62nd Multiple District 308 Lions Convention hosted by Kota Kinabalu on May 2-5.

The convention, led by MD308 Council Chairperson Datuk Douglas Oh, alongside respective District Governors from Districts 308-A2 Kapitan Ronny Hiew Ah Choi, 308-B1 Alex Ooi Thiam Poh, 308-B2 Dr Alan Thoo Sy Kit, and 308-B3 Potter Ka Kai Fong, as well as International Director Jeff Huang Changwei from China. Themed “Changing Our World”, the convention marked a significant annual gathering for multiple meetings, the election of new officers for Fiscal Year 2024-2025, and friendly golf fellowship, which attracted over 60 golfers. Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, in his speech read by Industrial Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Datuk Phoong Jin Jie, praised the remarkable achievements of MD308, having carried out 18,507 activities impacting over 2.1 million individuals and totalling an impressive 572,078 volunteer hours.
