More than 1,300 nurses at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett (PRMCE) will go on strike next week over unfair labor practices at the hospital.

, which is the largest union in Washington state, gave PRMCE a 10-day strike notice last week. The union said the unfair labor practice strike will begin at 6 a.m. local time on Tuesday, Nov. 14.The union said members of the bargaining team and Providence management were unable to reach a deal during the final bargaining session on Friday.” adding that the nurses who remained at the hospital are demanding a safer environment for nurses and patients.

A hospital spokesperson told KOMO News teams have been preparing for a possible strike and said their goal is to make sure the hospital stays open.
