The Department of Health logged 1,234 new Covid-19 cases on Saturday, Dec. 3.
Active infections nationwide were at 18,430, the DOH’s Covid-19 tracker showed.
The National Capital Region recorded the most cases in the recent 14 days with 4,616 infections, followed by Calabarzon with 1,989, Central Luzon with 1,028, Western Visayas with 986, and Central Visayas with 935. Saturday’s cases brought the running total of confirmed cases to 4,039,978. The DOH said that 3,956,847 people were able to recover. However, there were 64,701 patients who died due to Covid-19.
The country’s hospital bed occupancy remains at low-risk with 6,793 beds occupied while 21,401 beds were vacant.
