Grey's Anatomy goes on a two-week break with new episodes of Season 21 resuming next month on May 1. When Episode 16,"Papa Was a Rollin' Stone," airs, viewers will meet Piper Perabo as Jenna Gatlin. Variety reveals that the Coyote Ugly and Yellowstone star will appear on the show for a three-episode arc beginning in Episode 16, in which"Amelia undertakes a high-risk brain surgery on a young patient, while Winston and Jules disagree over how to handle their trauma patient’s family.
Jo and Link struggle with wedding planning." Jenna is the mother of the young patient and is described as"a fierce mother who will do anything for her 9-year-old daughter, Dylan." In Episode 17,"Jo and Link’s wedding day arrives, along with some visitors. Meanwhile, Teddy and Owen are met with a familiar face seeking treatment, and Lucas disagrees with Simone on how to approach a patient’s worsened condition." And in Episode 18, the season finale,"While the interns are excited to transition to second-year residency, an ordinary day at Grey Sloan takes an unexpected turn when a medical emergency unfolds in the operating room, endangering lives inside the hospital." Perabo's breakout role was in the 2000 dramedy Coyote Ugly. However, many might know her from her role as Summer Higgins in Yellowstone. Summer is John Dutton's girlfriend who gets engaged in a fierce rivalry with John's daughter, Beth . She has had roles in Penny Dreadful: City of Angels and Billions, both on Showtime. Amelia Takes On a High-Risk Surgery in 'Grey's Anatomy' Season 21, Episode 16 ABC released a sneak peek of the episode, which previews this case. The video below shows Perabo's Grey's Anatomy debut as Jenna alongside Andy Bean as Dylan's dad. Dylan has an angioma, and Amelia is convinced that the only approach is surgery. Operating on anyone is risky, but that risk becomes significantly bigger if the patient is a child. Some doctors are unconvinced this should happen, putting Simone and Lucas on opposite sides. Amelia is upfront with the parents about the risk factors in the surgery, and this risk has her doubting her own abilities. No amount of encouragement can calm her nerves.
