DOTHAN , Ala. - A Jerry Lee Faine Elementary School teacher has been placed on paid leave while Dothan City Schools investigates possible misconduct, the district confirmed this morning.
“We understand that situations such as this may raise concerns for families,” Superintendent Garrick Askew said in a letter sent to parents. District spokesperson Karris Harmon confirmed the letter’s authenticity. Askew said the district could not provide additional information because the investigation is ongoing. Harmon referred questions to the school system’s attorney, who said he would comment at the appropriate time.
