Carson Daly, the host of The Voice, reveals that he communicates more with his 13-year-old daughter Etta through Snapchat than in real life, with their conversations often involving emojis and quick messages.
Daily candidly talked about having a difficult time communicating with his 13-year-old-daughter, Etta,“I have a 13-year-old, Etta, who is doing great, who I never speak with,” he joked.
“Do you speak 13-year-old? Cause I don’t. ” “The Voice” host then showed a picture of he and his wife, Siri Pinter, with Etta at her Confirmation ceremony at a Catholic church. He and Etta are here in March 2017. Daly joked, “I have a 13-year-old, Etta, who is doing great, who I never speak with. Do you speak 13-year-old? Cause I don’t.
”“There she is, Confirmed … so, she’s in God’s hands now,” he commented while the audience laughed. But he explained he has a much easier time talking to her through Snapchat — the app that lets you send messages that disappear.
“You ever hear that phrase, ‘You’ve got to meet kids where they are? ’ You hear it in business a lot, right? They want to advertise, get in front of them,” he explained.
“I’ve taken a page out of that and six months ago, I did join Snapchat,” he continued. “I have literally communicated with my daughter, in particular, more via Snapchat than I have in real life. ”Daly said Etta was more responsive to him on Snapchat than in person. “I can say, ‘Are you okay? ’ And then I’ll put some stupid emoji,” he said.
“And she’ll write back, like, ‘LOL,’ and all these little things are flying all over the screen. ”Daly and Pinter also share son Jackson, 17, as well as daughters London, 11, and Goldie, 6.

“I’m just saying it would suck if they came into the house on a Sunday, and we were going do like a big Daly feast, we make pizzas, and they were like, ‘I can’t eat anything,’ I would just be like, ‘He’s a loser. Daly also shared that his one deal breaker for his kids dating is if their partner is vegan.
